If you are looking to buy or rent a property and want to make sure the Feng Shui and energy of a property is good, here are a couple of tips to get you started.

Feng Shui can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, but if you follow these simple rules for choosing a good physical location for your property then you are one step closer to ensuring the energy of your new home supports you and your family.

1. Avoid main roads and busy intersections

Feng Shui is about energy, and the quality and quantity of energy that comes into your home. Often the energy flows too quickly on a main road, and therefore right past your property.

2. Avoid the top of the T-intersections

Ever feel uncomfortable when someone is pointing at you? This is what happens when you live at the top of a T-intersection. The energy rushes onto the property too fast, car headlights shine onto the property and there is also an increased risk of accidents.

It’s important to get the location right from a Feng Shui perspective in order to maximise the quality and quantity of energy coming in through your front door.

3. Avoid courts

Good energy is gentle and flowing. When a property is located in a court, particularly at the bottom of a court, the energy becomes stuck or stagnant.

4. Watch the bends

Gentle winding streets are great, but be careful of some bends which are particularly sharp or fast. Properties located on the outside edge of these bends face energy which has a cutting effect.

5. Highs and Lows

Choose a property that is ideally located on either flat land or the high side of the road. Avoid houses on the low side of the road or at the top of a hill. Ground sloping away from the property is not ideal Feng Shui as the occupants of the house will lack support.

Choosing a property in the right location for good Feng Shui is the first step to ensuring your property has good Feng Shui. The location will maximise the quality and quantity of energy coming in through your front door.
